Mr. Withers joined Cogent in 2014, and serves as its President. Prior to Cogent, Dan was at Musket Corporation, where he was Director of Business Development. At Musket, Mr. Withers participated in the management team and was responsible for building several of the physical assets. Prior to Musket, Mr. Withers was a trader at Interchem Trading where he traded gasoline blending components and chemicals. Prior to Interchem Trading, Mr. Withers spent 25 years working for Shell Chemical, Koch Chemical and Sterling Chemicals.
Mr. Boyd has been with Cogent since 2012. Prior to Cogent, Mr. Boyd held a variety of positions and responsibilities, including: (i) mid-continent/Rockies crude oil trading; (ii) developed pipeline to Cushing, OK; (iii) manager of the marketing activities for a truck fleet/crude oil gathering system; and (iv) managed logistics and transportation for various companies that worked with refineries in the Rockies area.
Mr. Newell joined Cogent in 2013 as its CFO and currently serves as Executive Vice President – Strategic Development and Administration, which includes all financial responsibilities. Prior to Cogent, Mr. Newell spent over 25 years in various sales/business development (Vice President of Business Development) and financial roles (Vice President of Finance/Strategic Planning) at H.J. Heinz Co., Coca-Cola, Pepsi-Cola, and Cott Beverages, a leader in private label soft drinks. Mr. Newell also owned an import business for seven years with production distribution in many of the largest retailers in the U.S.
